Happy Valentine's Day!

Valentine's Day is one of my favorite holidays to decorate for. I have a few easy and cheap tricks for you to take any space and any budget and make your home look romantic and cute. All you need is a little crafting ability.

Jars filled with candy is an inexpensive and delicious way to instantly decorate for any holiday. All you need to do is find the right color candy, and you're in business! Most grocery store candy-by-the-pound sections sell candy by the color now.

I've seen these cork hearts everywhere on Pinterest. There cute, eco-friendly, and can make a huge impact for minimal amount of effort. If you don't drink wine or know anyone who does, consider purchasing a long round dowel from the hardware store and cutting it down into equal sized pieces. It will look almost identical once you sand and paint.

Making wreaths is a fun way to decorate the outside without spending a lot of money. I particularly like this tutorial from CleverlyInspired on YouTube.

Banners are one of the cheapest and easiest ways to decorate for any holiday. They can be made from almost anything - fabric, paper, old book pages, music, cardboard, you name it! Pretty much anything can be used for string as well - ric-rac, twine, rope, ribbon, more fabric, whatever you can think of. They store very easily and you can even have your kids help make them. Here are some cute ideas to get you started.

I hope you all have a wonderful and safe Valentine's Day! Happy Crafting!

  1. My hubby made a hanging heart mobile (kinda like the last pic) and managed to hang it all while I was asleep last night. It was a sweet surprise to wake up to and proof that guys can be Cheap Chic too!
