Fresh Fall Ideas for 2015

Here are the top five places in your home that you will always decorate after reading this post:
porch, entry, front yard
5. Dining Room Table;
Centerpieces on your dining room table are more simple to make and put together than you'd think. Here's an incredible idea-so incredible, that you should host a craft night for your friends to do this.

 Here's what you'll need:
A tray - it doesn't need to be round
Candle hurricanes of different heights - hint- get an odd number
Un-popped popcorn
String or twine
candles
Fake fall leaves

All you do is assemble the candles to look like the picture. You will probably spend a total of 10 minutes or less on this craft, it looks great, and will last you through Thanksgiving.

Here are some other inspiring ideas.

4. Most modern families spend a majority of their time at home in the kitchen. Because of the amount of time spent in the kitchen, it is important to decorate this space as well. The easiest way to decorate in your kitchen is to use everyday objects in clear, glass containers to display them. What I do, is figure out what color I want to decorate with, then choose a fruit or vegetable that color, then put it my clear tall container. For example, for fall, you might want to use oranges, apples, and pears to bring a fresh infusion of the colors orange, red, and green. Also consider brown pears like this picture below. It adds a much-needed earthy texture to the fresh green and white color scheme. If this isn't your thing, maybe a classic cornucopia with many different kinds of squashes and gourds, or even a three-tier serving display with corn, small pumpkins and other fall vegetables.

3. Your indoor entryway should reflect your personality and the current season. Feel free to get super creative here. Pumpkins and other typical fall decor is your friend. Express yourself and your guests will love it.

2. The front porch is possibly my favorite place to decorate for fall. Pumpkins, hay, winter squashes and gourds, and dried corn are just a few examples. Simplicity also looks great. White pumpkins and chalkboards are trending right now. Remember, like in your entry, be creative and express yourself.

1. And finally, the number one place you should decorate for fall is......drum roll please......your FRONT DOOR! This is a guest's first impression of your home and you want it to be a great one. A wreath is a classic choice, but if that's not your thing, consider a piece of wood with your family's name on it, or a chalkboard on which you write "Welcome", or even wooden letters hung by ribbon. If you don't like anything on your door, that can also be beautiful. (especially if you've decorated your porch) If you do nothing else, decorate your front door!

HAPPY FALL EVERYONE!
