Clocks

You can make a clock out of just about anything (which is why they're so awesome). Clock kits can be found online, or pretty much every hardware & fabric/craft store nowadays. Here are a few that I've found that are fun and easy to make yourself.

This one is brought to you by my wonderful Mom.

She bought this clock at IKEA for her Sewing Room. To make it more interesting, and to tie in with the Sewing Room decor, she took all of her mis-matched earrings, broken pins, broaches, etc. and had my Dad cut the backs off, then she attached them with epoxy. The result was amazing. And I'm a little jealous I didn't think of it first. :)

This was given to us by a friend of ours for our wedding. It's just a slice of wood with a clock kit. I love it.  (It goes really well in my husband's man cave/office)

This clock is currently sold at IKEA (http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/80232223/). It can be configured a million different ways.  And, if you're not a fan of the primary-ish color scheme....

You can cover each piece with contact paper, scrapbook paper, fabric, whatever you like, and have a completely different look.

Here is another really interesting one made from type (letters & numbers) painted one bright color and then glued together. This would be great in an office or for any graphic designer friends.

Hope this inspires you to make your own unique clock!
