Upcycling Old Kitchen Utensils

We all have those "extra" kitchen utensils that are just lying around that we aren't really using. Why not take those extra utensils and make something new and fresh out of them? Here are a few ideas to get you started:

We've all seen this IKEA special at least once. It doesn't hold very many spatulas & spoons, but it could be turned into something a lot more beautiful.

If you have an ugly fixture, say above your sink or island, drill a large hole on the bottom of this, wire it up and Voila!  You have a pretty swanky light fixture that only cost you about $3.

Here are some other fun ideas to change up your decor in your kitchen or any other room. Most of these are vintage in style, but could easily be replicated or painted a bright color to fit any other decor style.

I hope this inspires you to look at everything in your home in a different way. Gather all of your "extras" and see what you can come up with!
